There is archeological evidence that wine was first produced in Greece over 6500 years ago. The Greek god of wine, Dionysus, taught men how to plant & tend the grapevine, press the juice and make it into wine around 1200 BC. Today, Greek wines from the 3 main wine producing regions in the country can often be found on the ‘Best Wine’ lists.
Our fascinating wine appreciation seminar gives you the unique opportunity to sample some of Greece’s finest wines while learning about the origins & history of each label, how to pick out flavours during tasting and pairing wine & food. A fine selection of hors d'oeuvres will be served to compliment each wine.
At the end of the seminar you will be able to purchase the wines you have tasted and our Oenologist can offer you advice & recommendations for future purchases.
